Donations and Sponsorships

As part of its commitment to our seventh cooperative principle, Concern for Community, Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative offers donations and sponsorships in addition to grants through the HWE Community Trust Fund (Operation Round Up).

Donations typically are awarded for smaller non-profit organization equipment or needs. Sponsorships are considered donations in which Hancock-Wood receives promotion through an event or program.

PLEASE NOTE:

Although Hancock-Wood is a non-profit organization, we have a commitment to community quality to life. Our Donations and Sponsorships committee sponsors and donates thousands annually to worthy local agencies in need of assistance.

Unfortunately, this funding has been depleted for 2017; however, you are welcome to try again next year or appeal to our Community Trust Fund Board for Operation Round Up funds - see below.

The Hancock-Wood Electric Community Trust Fund organization, which oversees Operation Round Up funds, offers higher dollar grants to non-profit organization and individuals in need. Applications for both individuals and groups are available on our website here.

To apply for donations or sponsorship funding, send us the following information about the event or activity:

  • The name of the non-profit organization
  • Address where to mail the check
  • Event date
  • Who or what benefits from the donation
  • The deadline by which you wish to receive funding
  • Individual contact information including name, address, phone and email address

PLEASE ALLOW 4 TO 6 WEEKS TO PROCESS EACH REQUEST.

The Donations and Sponsorships Committee meets monthly to award funding. A Donations and Sponsorships request must be submitted each time the organization would like a check. Reoccuring or annual events will not be funded on a regular basis without multiple requests. Donations, sponsorships and grants will be made each fiscal year until funds are depleted.

Please note: Due to extremely high numbers of requests, Hancock-Wood can no longer consider requests to sponsor livestock or livestock sales.

If you have any questions concerning grant funding from Hancock-Wood, please contact us at 1-800-445-4840.

Requests should be sent via the U.S. Postal Service to:
