2020 Annual Meeting Update

Join us for our virtual Annual Meeting on June 13 at 10 a.m. from the comfort of your home! Just visit our website www.hwe.coop or our Facebook page www.facebook.com/hwe.coop at 10 a.m. for your annual cooperative update! 

Because of the uncertainty of COVID-19, we will not hold our annual meeting at the fairgrounds. In order to keep our members and our employee’s safety in mind, we will hold a virtual annual meeting through our website and Facebook page. Please call 800-445-4840 or email info@hwe.coop your name, phone number and email address to RSVP by June 8.

  • Call 800-445-4840 or email info@hwe.coop your name, phone number and email address to RSVP by June 8 and be entered for the bill credit drawing. We will be choosing five winners who will be contacted by Monday, June 15.

 

We need your help!

  • All members who RSVP will be requested to vote during our meeting. You will receive a phone call giving instructions and asking for your approval on issues up for a vote.
  • The two issues to vote on are the acceptance of last year’s minutes, you will receive a copy in the mail prior to the meeting. The second issue is to accept the election committee report.
  • Please answer the phone when called and give your vote on June 13 at 10 a.m.

 

Special announcement!

  • Your board of trustees will be making a special announcement about capital credits you won’t want to miss!
  • The chairman and CEO will be available after the meeting to answer questions.

We demonstrate our Concern for Community by volunteering and donating to local charitable causes. Nearly $500,000 in grants have been distributed in the last decade through grants and Operation Round Up funds to individuals and organizations in need. Hancock-Wood keeps Member owners informed about legislation that could impact their rights or lead to unstable energy costs. Your voice has been heard at the highest court in the land. In response to petitions by electric co-ops, states and industry, the U.S. Supreme Court granted a stay of the Clean Power Plan. This is an unprecedented act by the Supreme Court.
