ANNUAL MEETING THIS SATURDAY

NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio – More than 1,500 members are expected to attend this Saturday’s Annual Meeting of Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative from 8-10:30 am at company headquarters in North Baltimore.

And once again, Hancock-Wood will webcast its event, and remains the only electric cooperative in the nation to do so. Instructions are available at www.hwe.coop.

The company will offer a free buffet breakfast to members of scrambled eggs, pancakes, ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns and more, to every single person attending. What’s more, customers will receive a free limited-edition series coffee mug and other giveaways, including compact fluorescent light bulbs.

Among other event highlights:
• Blower door booth – See the new blower door unit and learn how it can save you money in your home.
• Pony rides – Kids can enjoy free pony rides, weather permitting.
• Company report - Hear a report on the company’s status from President & CEO George Walton.
• Food drive - Members are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the needy. All items go to the North Baltimore Food Assistance Program.
• Inflatables – Kids will enjoy four huge inflatable activities.

We demonstrate our Concern for Community by volunteering and donating to local charitable causes. Nearly $500,000 in grants have been distributed in the last decade through grants and Operation Round Up funds to individuals and organizations in need. Hancock-Wood keeps Member owners informed about legislation that could impact their rights or lead to unstable energy costs. Your voice has been heard at the highest court in the land. In response to petitions by electric co-ops, states and industry, the U.S. Supreme Court granted a stay of the Clean Power Plan. This is an unprecedented act by the Supreme Court.
