2018 Rate Adjustment

Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative is enacting a rate adjustment, which will be the first one in 10 years for residential Members and 16 years for commercial Members. After years of working hard to contain costs, a rate adjustment is necessary. All Members will be affected, but in different ways. Residential and commercial Members will receive a letter soon detailing how the rate adjustment affects them.

Hancock-Wood keeps Member owners informed about legislation that could impact their rights or lead to unstable energy costs. Your voice has been heard at the highest court in the land. In response to petitions by electric co-ops, states and industry, the U.S. Supreme Court granted a stay of the Clean Power Plan. This is an unprecedented act by the Supreme Court.
