Weatherization Rebate for Professional Installation

Before adding insulation to your home, we recommend that your home is properly air sealed.

How do you know if you need more insulation? First, you need to find out how much insulation you currently have in your home and where it is. 

Rebate: Up to $800 for insulation projects
Receive a 50% rebate for the total cost of professional installation of insulation.


Hancock-Wood's rebate budget is limited. Offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Offer expires when funds are depleted.


  • This rebate is only available to residential Members of Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative.
  • Must receive professional installation of insulation products on an existing home between Jan. 1, 2022 and Dec. 31, 2022.
  • Home must be heated electrically with geothermal, heat pump/dual fuel or another electric source.
  • Exterior walls must achieve a minimum of R-16 for exterior walls; R-38 for attic; R-10 exterior basement walls, and R-10 crawlspace w/6-mil poly.
  • Complete rebate form and submit a copy of your receipt from a professional installer stating the R-value in the walls and attic.


  • This rebate covers up to 50% of the total cost, with a maximum of $800, of professional insulation projects.
  • Only professional installation projects are eligible. DIY Members should consider our other weatherization rebates.
  • A maximum of two rebates may be paid per residential Member home from Jan. 1, 2022 and Dec. 31, 2022.

  3. Rebate will be in the form of a bill credit unless indicated by Member.
