Stay Cool & Save Energy

The summer months are heating up! During this time, your cooling systems use more energy because they run for longer periods of time in order to combat the outside heat. The causes an energy surge and can be costly. Follow these tips and manage the heat!

1. Set your thermostat to 78°F when you're home, and raise it when you are not home and need less cool air. This will keep you comfortable, cool, and cut down on energy usage and costs. 

2. Caulk or weatherstrip around windows and exterior doors. The sealing prevents air leaks which leads to your cooling system working harder to keep up. Creating a protective barrier ensures the cool stays in and the warm stays out, providing a more comfortable environment for you and your family 

3. Check your cooling system's air filter regularly and replace as needed. A clean air filter allows the system to run easier, cutting down on energy usage and cost, giving you clean, cool air to enjoy in the summer heat.
